Even in the city (with limited room, time, and sunlight) it’s sooo worth it to start a little garden.
I’m super greatful to have such a wonderful man who took the time to build us a little garden box (he even let me use the power tools … for about 30 seconds). Our meals the last few months have been accompanied by some of our own homegrown produce, which feels incredibly satisfying to pick, cook, and eat.
As we head into fall – quite rapidly if I say so myself – I realize that this may very well be our last harvest until next spring. Our zucchini and squash plants are on their last leg, the herbs have gone to seed, and the tomatoes branches are starting to make their gradual descent to the ground.
All in all – it has been a great year for our little garden. Over the next few weeks I’ll be collecting seeds from some of our favorite varieties (like these little yellow tomatoes) so that we can start them up again next year.
Can’t wait for Spring 2017, but in the meantime I’m excited for sweater weather this fall 😉
